The Zombie Apocalypse Rapture

So there is all this talk about the end of the world or a rapture happening on May 21st. I think people who believe this stuff are silly or just hate life and want the world to end. But  if there is going to be one I hope it's a zombie apocalypse. So here are my thoughts on what may take place tomorrow and how to prepare your self for the zombie apocalypse rapture or the Z.A.R for short.  It will start by a wild giraffe escaping from the zoo. And this giraffe is going to carry the plague that will turn people into zombies. So the people who are wanting to help this plauge carrying giraffe are the ones that are going to be raptured. Unfortunately these people will become zombies and then spread this giraffe virus to there friends and family or anybody trying to save the infected people.  So rule number 1 is don't help anybody out even if they are asking for change. And especially don't help the giraffe running wild through the streets. Helping will only leave you raptured and make you into a flesh eating virus carrying dead person.  Now if you follow rule number your chance of survival has increased by 10%. So what comes next you might ask well you need to survive. Duh! So surviving is going to depend on where you live. Country folks will find it easier to survive since most already own guns and can hide easier from the zombies. City folk well that's going to be a challenge. If you live in a large metropolitan area escaping to a safe area won't be easy. Your going to have to fight your way through a million plus zombies. On top of gangsters and clans who followed rule number one. These people will be willing to shoot anything that moves. Even people not infected.  Rule number 2,3 & 4 are... travel light, find a weapon and have a sense of your surroundings. Get a back pack preferably a hiking pack. You can store a lot of things without having it all bounce around on you. Plus there's pockets that allow you to not take your pack off. So if you find a hand gun or own one. Store ammo in these places. Find a water container or canteen. But spare your water you never know when you will be able to refill again. Food is essential of course. So find food that you don't need to cook. Protein bars, top ramien, or anything that's light and can fill you up. Being aware like an eagle searching for a mouse in a grass field will increase your survival the most. If your not aware your a brain eater.  While trying to escape to some where that is safe your going to get tired and hungry along the way. So finding a safe place to rest might be difficult especially in a city. Hopefully your senses will let you judge where to rest and charge up to continue your escape from the giraffe virus.  Well that's all I got so best of luck to you folks. Remember don't trust anything and be aware. If you want to know more info on how to survive Z.A.R. I suggest reading the "Zombie Survival Guide" or watch every zombie made. But you only got 12 hours so get on it.

Pass the Bucket

Dogtown skater Tony Alva battled an alcohol and drug addiction for many years. But he recently turned his life around by finding god and a new purpose in life. He is still rocking the bowls and is helping inner city youth. He's always been one of my favorite skaters and it’s good to see he’s found the light and is leading kids not to follow the path of gangs and drugs.

Oh Shit the Sun has a hole?!?!

A coronal hole – source of high-speed solar wind
This ominous, dark shape sprawling across the face of the Sun is a coronal hole — a low density region extending above the surface where the solar magnetic field opens freely into interplanetary space. Studied extensively from space since the 1960s in ultraviolet and x-ray light, coronal holes are known to be the source of the high-speed solar wind, atoms and electrons which flow outward along the open magnetic field lines. During periods of low activity, coronal holes typically cover regions just above the Sun’s poles. But this extensive coronal hole dominated the Sun’s northern hemisphere earlier this week, captured here in extreme ultraviolet light by cameras onboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory. The solar wind streaming from this coronal hole triggered auroral displays on planet Earth.

Undercity

This guy kind of reminds me of Owen Wilson. But he is pretty crazy, running through NYC subway tunnels and climbing all over the Williamsburg Bridge. He really puts a perspective of how old New York city really is. If you got 30 minutes to kill I suggest you watch this insane video of Steve the urban explorer.

First Thursday Art Walk

On March 3rd 2011 I ventured down to Pioneer Square for the First Thursday art walk. It was my first time ever going to a First Thursday art walk event since living in Seattle. Though I only went to two places that night I was pretty blown away by the wide variety of art that was on display. My first stop was at the Electric Coffin on 1st Ave by the stadiums. There they had 50 miniature coffins painted by 50 different artist. Each coffin had a distinctive look and I wish I could of took pictures of all of them because they were all equally awesome. My second stop was the Seattle Art Building located on Western. This place was amazing! It is six stories of artist lofts opened to the public and the variety of art was greater than 31 flavors x 1000. I was pretty much on art overload from all the different paintings, sculptures, photography, etc. etc. And this place was packed like sardines, traveling from floor to floor became kind of challenging since there was only a old wood spiral stair case to travel on from floor to floor. Im definitely planning on going to the next First Thursday Art Walk and I hope I get to see more of what this event has to offer.
